Our curriculum is designed to fulfil our academy vision – to inspire, to raise aspirations and to create brighter tomorrows
We aim to stimulate, challenge and engage with children in a way that fosters a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum is underpinned by the early years framework for foundation stage followed by the national curriculum in key stages one and two.
Our enhanced curriculum goes beyond the classroom through a range of experiences and opportunities, building their confidence and raising their self-esteem. The approach to our learning centres on the belief that children learn better when they are encouraged to explore subjects in a variety of ways.
Our curriculum is based on the concept of ‘head, heart, hand’ which means all children and young people deserve an education of the head (academic learning), the heart (social, emotional learning) and the hand (practical skills, creativity and problem solving).
