The children at Thoresby Vale have been busy as January marks another month a Thoresby 30 activity has been completed.

The children learnt CPR completing a section from the be a leader category and they were joined by two paramedics from East Midlands Ambulance Service to support them.

The children were taught how to give CPR and then practiced their new skills on the test dummies provided. They were also showed the choking vest and talked about the hymnic manoeuvre which can be essential to helping someone in critical circumstances.

The children finished the session by getting to take a seat in the ambulance car and have a look around. We are so proud of how the children approached the session with such care and understanding. They applied themselves well in each task and possibly sparked a few future career ideas.

Well done year 5 and 6!
