Since opening our doors back in September, Project Play has quickly become one of our favourite activities here at Thoresby Vale Primary Academy.

What is Project Play?

Project Play is a lunchtime activity run by our fabulous team of teaching assistants. We want our children to be outside as much as possible engaging in adventurous play and we don’t let the weather stop us, we are outside rain or shine.

From balance bikes, scooters, chalk and pogo sticks we have a variety of equipment for the children to use, some of which have been kindly donated to us from parents and staff.

What are the benefits?

Project Play helps children to build confidence, develop coordination and strengthen social skills in a fun and safe environment. But most importantly it lets their creativity and imagination run wild before they begin their afternoon learning.

It is wonderful to see their smiles and laughter as they take on all sorts of adventures together. We look forward to developing Project Play further as we are able to use more of our land.
