A note from Principal, Rebecca Hurley

Rebecca stood against wooded backgroundWelcome to Thoresby Vale Primary Academy. I am proud to introduce you to Thoresby Vale Primary Academy – part of Diverse Academies Trust. We are set to open the doors to all year groups in September 2025.

We want Thoresby Vale to be a positive and thriving school community where our children love to come to school to learn each day.

Our vision is to maximise on our unique setting in the heart of Sherwood Forest, to deliver the national curriculum, our natural curriculum and offer a space for our wider community to come together.

Thoresby Vale Primary Academy will offer a rich curriculum designed to develop children’s knowledge and skills in readiness for the next stages of their learning journey alongside experiences beyond the classroom and opportunities to learn about the natural world around us.

At the heart of the education we provide at Thoresby Vale is a passionate belief that children should leave us at the end of their primary journey as happy, well-rounded, and positive young people — determined to achieve high standards and with a deep appreciation for the wonderful natural world around them.

We aim to create a school where children, families, and staff feel proud to belong to the Thoresby Vale community.

Closer to our opening date we are planning a number of events in the local community to introduce ourselves and the academy further. For updates of these events please keep an eye on our news and key dates page as well as our social media channels.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming your family to our academy when it opens. If you have queries in the interim, please contact us by email at office@thoresbyvaleprimary-ac.org.uk and our team will be happy to help.

Thank you for your interest in our academy.
